This body of work explores our relationship with air as an elemental force, unfolding as a spatial environment rather than a collection of individual works. It takes shape through the relation between element and viewer: movement, sound and form interact across multiple senses; connections form through time and attention. Paintings, drawings, flags, fans, lanterns, ceramics, sound, video altogether made air perceptible, guiding attention from a field of impressions into a concentrated stillness. I see this project as an important step in moving my work from a flat composition towards spatial and sensory experience.

This was my first substantial attempt to think in terms of space, and it made clear that this direction now needs deeper material, technical and critical development.
